About ProEthics In the field of legal ethics and professional responsibility, he develops and teaches entertaining and interactive seminars at law firms, federal agencies, corporate legal departments and bar associations across the country. He currently is working with USAID and the government of Mongolia to develop ethics training programs for that nation's prosecutors, advocates and judiciary. Marshall's corporate and organizational ethics programs enliven the employee trainings of corporations large and small, and associations in dozens of professions and fields. He has also worked extensively on medical research ethics and workplace ethics, including sexual harassment. Many seminars involve The Ethical Arts Players, his troupe of professional actors and singers who turn ethics hypotheticals into memorable comic presentations. Among their collaborations have been "The Compliance Zone" series of corporate ethics training programs and three musical ethics seminars, including Ethics Rock! Marshall's articles and commentary on topics ranging from leadership to ethics to popular culture have appeared in The Federal Lawyer, Everyday Law, Trial, The Weekly Standard, and numerous state bar publications, and his ethics analysis has been featured on numerous radio shows, the Montel Williams Show, and PBS's Religion and Ethics Weekly. A collection of the writings and speeches of Clarence Darrow that he has co-edited with Pulizter Prize winning historian Ed Larson (Summer of the Gods) is scheduled for publication by the Modern Library in 2006. He is also an award-winning stage director,
and the founding artistic director for The American Century Theater, a
professional non-profit theater company dedicated to producing classic
American plays. He lives in Alexandria with his wife and partner, Grace
Marshall, their son Grant, and their Jack Russell Terrier, Rugby. Like
many who study the nature of good, evil, justice, and chaos, Jack Marshall
is a lifetime fan of the Boston Red Sox.
