ProEthics Announces Two New Musical Legal Ethics Seminars: More Ethics Rock and Ethics Blues ProEthics, the D.C. area ethics training and consulting firm that has won awards, glowing participant evaluation and applause with its unique musical ethics CLE seminars, has two new tuneful programs ready for lawyers who want to get their CLE ethics credits while being challenged and entertained. The first is More Ethics Rock!, the much-requested sequel to Ethics Rock!, which has garnered top ratings from law firms and bar associations alike. As with its ground-breaking predecessor, More Ethics Rock! raises difficult cutting-edge legal ethics issues in the form of deft parodies of classic rock songs from the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies, all performed live on acoustic guitar by accomplished classic rock soloists. All songs are accompanied by an evocative and often amusing slideshow, and are followed by a lively discussion of the ethical dilemmas presented led by program creator and ProEthics founder Jack Marshall. Among the artists whose greatest hits are evoked in More Ethics Rock! are The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkle, Credence Clearwater Revival, Roy Orbison, The Lovin' Spoonful, and more, including an entirely new version of the sing-along parody that was a favorite in Ethics Rock!, "The Day My Ethics Died." Among the difficult issues attendees will encounter and discuss: client fraud, the impaired client, negotiation issues, pro se traps, law firm dilemmas, applying exceptions to confidentiality, and many more. As with all ProEthics CLE programs, More Ethics Rock! comes with extensive materials and a "songbook" containing all parody lyrics. Having conquered the genres of rock 'n' roll and Broadway musicals (with the musical seminars The Ethics Man and the award-winning The Sound of Ethics), ProEthics is branching out to the world of smoky nightclubs and cabarets with Ethics Blues, the first CLE ethics seminar that salutes the repertoire of the great saloon singers of the 30s, 40s and 50s. Attendees will listen as a sultry-voiced chanteuse warbles the unforgettable ballads of the Gershwins, Rogers and Hart, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and others but with a difference, for these familiar songs are laments of the courtroom and law office, with broken ethics rules instead of broken hearts. With live piano accompaniment, Ethics Blues combines immortal songs with such current issues as "hearing too much" and the prospective client, courtroom tricks, internet and technology issues, sudden conflicts, waivers, and more.
Both More Ethics Rock! and Ethics Blues are available in two, three and four hour versions, as well as every length in between. Both can be customized to specific practice areas if required, and new songs can be created. The fee for More Ethics Rock! and Ethics Blues include performers, Jack Marshall, travel and lodging (if necessary), materials and PowerPoint presentation. The client is responsible for technical assistance on site, sound, and copying of all materials. More Ethics Rock! and Ethics Blues are exciting new seminars that will enlighten and delight attorneys, no matter what their musical tastes. Contact ProEthics for details!
